Hi there! My name is Josh. I have been working with students of all ages as a private educator and test prep tutor since 2018.  I specialize in comprehensive SAT and ACT Prep, GRE Prep, ISEE/SSAT Prep,  Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trig/Pre-Calculus, AP Lit, AP Lang, Essay Writing, and Executive Function Coaching. That being said, I love to learn, and am always excited when a student asks me for help with a science or history assignment.

Most of my students are of middle or high school age and have sought long term relationships.  I strive to be there to assist them through their entire high school careers, from Algebra 1 freshman year all the way up through taking the SAT/ACT and writing their college essays.

I value so much the success of my students. I enjoy getting to know each and every one of them personally and I look forward to being their guide and advocate as they progress through this important part of their lives.  As their personal academic coach, I am committed to challenging them to think critically about the material they are learning in a way that sparks their interest and curiosity beyond what is possible in a classroom setting.

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelors degree in Philosophy and Psychology.  Over the years, I've worked with a number of different test prep companies located all across the country, from LA and San Francisco on the West Coast, to Connecticut and my home state of Pennsylvania on the East.  The most important thing I have learned about how to foster a successful one-on-one educational experience is to highly value the quality of the relationship built between the student, their parent, and the tutor. That is why I began my own endeavor, so that I may maintain full accountability not only to my students but to you as well.
